22-Inch vs. 46-Inch DTF Gang Sheets: Which Size Should You Order?

When you order DTF gang sheets, the first choice is width. We print 22-inch and 46-inch wide sheets, and each comes in several lengths. Both are printed on the same hot peel DTF film with the same quality checks, so the right choice comes down to your designs and how you work. Here is how to think it through.

The sizes we offer

Our 22-inch wide sheets come in lengths of 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 inches. Our 46-inch wide sheets come in lengths of 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 inches. Price scales with the length of the sheet, and you can see the price for each size on the product page, so you always know what a layout will cost before you build it.

When a 22-inch sheet makes sense

A 22-inch width is a good fit when your designs are small or medium and you want to keep a job tight. It gives you a short, flexible option, starting at just 20 inches of length, which is handy for a small batch or a single customer order. If you regularly pack several small designs and do not need a large artboard, a narrower sheet keeps your spend closer to what you actually need.

When a 46-inch sheet makes sense

A 46-inch width gives you more room across, which helps with larger designs and with layouts that combine many pieces for a production run. If you are gathering several customers' orders onto one sheet, or printing big back designs alongside smaller front prints, the extra width lets you arrange everything more freely. Because the shortest 46-inch sheet is 40 inches long, it suits jobs that already have enough artwork to fill it.

Packing a sheet efficiently

You pay for the sheet, not for each individual design, so the goal is always to use as much of it as possible. Leave a small gap between designs, group similar sizes together, and rotate pieces if it helps them nest. We cover this in detail in how to build a DTF gang sheet that saves you money. If you would rather not arrange it by hand, the online gang sheet builder lets you place and resize artwork right in your browser.

Already have a finished file?

If your layout is done, upload your own gang sheet in the size that matches it. Make sure the file is a vector or a PNG at 300+ DPI with a transparent background, embedded and not mirrored. Need only a few designs rather than a full sheet? Use Image By Size instead.
