How to Use DTF Transfers
DTF Transfer Pressing Instructions
1. Set Your Heat Press
Temperature: 300°F (275°F for 100% polyester)
Pressure: High pressure (9+ PR if using a Hotronix heat press)
⚠️ Proper pressure is important. Too little pressure can cause poor adhesion.
2. Position the Transfer
Place the transfer design side up on the garment.
Cover the transfer with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper.
3. First Press
Press for 10-12 seconds.
4. Peel the Film
Peel the film while warm using a confident, quick, and smooth motion.
Do not peel slowly — this can cause the design to lift.
If using a home or non-commercial heat press, you may need to wait about 15 seconds before peeling.
5. Final Press
After peeling, cover the design again with a Teflon sheet or parchment paper and press for 5 seconds.
This step locks in the print and improves durability.
✅ Your garment is now ready to wear and wash!
